5. Zaprešić

 

June 27th, Sunday, triathlon race in the town Zaprešić, near the small lake "Zajarki" will take place.

 

Approaching from Zagreb: on a highway from Karlovac (in direction of Maribor and Krapina) at the entrance of Zaprešić turn left just after the rail-road cross.

Approaching from Slovenia: (state border Dobova-Harmica) turn right just before the rail-road cross.

 

COMPETITION PROGRAM

8:00 – 10:00 Sprint triathlon and relay race registration

10:15 Transition zone closing

11:00 Sprint triathlon start

13:00 – 15:00 Dinner, results announcements and prize giving ceremony

 

COMPETITION SYSTEM

                SWIMMING

Ø       event will take place at the small lake "Zajarki"

Ø       lap length: one square of 750 m

Ø       water temperature is expected to be near 24°C

                CYCLING

Ø       transition zone is placed at the parking place of the restaurant of the Fishermen's club "Šaran", wherefrom the cycling section starts

Ø       lap length: 1 lap of 20 km Zaprešić – Pojatno – Kupljenovo – Zaprešić

Ø       the road will be partially closed so every competitor must drive at the right side of the road

Ø       drafting is allowed

                RUNNING

Ø       lap length: 2 laps of 2500 m around the small lake and approaching roads

Ø       the road is plane and partly asphalt

Ø       Time limit 2 hours!

 

PRIZE FOND:      30 000 HRK (4 000 €)

(Prizes will be: T-shirts for every contestant, sponsors goods (in the money value as divided below), medals for first three in each category and a cup for absolute first 3).

Reebok prizes will be divided as follows:

                1. = 4 000 HRK (550 €)

                2. = 2 000 HRK (250 €)

                3. = 1 000 HRK (150 €)

                4. – 10. = 500 HRK (70 €)

                11. – 100. = 100 HRK (15€)

2. Aquacity Varaždin

                                                      

July 17th, Saturday, triathlon race at the lake called Aquacity, near the town of Varaždin.

Approaching from Zagreb: just before entering Varaždin marks are placed for right turn to “Aquacity”.

Approaching from Hungary (border crossing Letenje): at the exit of the highway to Zagreb take right for Varaždin. After the «OMV» gas station at “T” crossing take right. Markes are placed to turn left after small airport (cca. 2km from crossing), (Aquacity is 15km from Hungary border).

Ø       Time limit 2 hours!

COMPETITION PROGRAM

  7:15 - 7:45 marking numbers on competitors

  8:00 start

16:00 loading boats with equipment

17:00 non official results announcements

18:00 announcements after the last competitors arrives

20:00 boat departure

 

COMPETITION SYSTEM:

Ø       1900 m swimming in the Big lake around the island of St. Maria (expected temperature of water is 22°C)

Ø       80 km cycling: Pomena - Saplunara and back (drafting is not allowed)

Ø       21 km running around Big lake, 2 laps

Ø       Time limit 9 hours!

Prize fond: 13.000 € divided as:

8.000 € in money

5.000 € in sponsors’ goods

 

Application fees: 30 € for registered by the September 23rd, 2004, 40 € after that

               

Accommodation: Hotel Odisej (where is the transition area) offers accommodation for triathlets in beginning of

  1/2 bedroom (+ breakfast) = 106 HRK (~14, 50 €)

  1/1 bedroom (+ breakfast) = 147 HRK (~ 19, 90 €)

The Cup will include races:

Ø       Croatia 3

Ø       Slovenia 2

Ø       Italy 2

Ø       To collect the cup contestant has to collect 50 % + 1 (4) races from the cup calendar. Points will be taken out of best 4 races.

First 100 competitors from each race will collect points.

Prize fond (10 000 €) will be shared to the first five in absolute category. First three competitors in each category will get medals and consalation prizes.
